Bären Polka

Public video installation, Digital Fringe, Melbourne, 2007

Bären Polka is an installation projected on the walls of Melbourne in various locations, including the façade of the Melbourne Museum. The video is a homage to the poet Paul Celan, experimenting with the gesture of piano playing devoid of the instrument, and the dissonance of a relentless loop of cheap muzak from a toy instrument, positioned as installation in the public context of the projection.
